MAFS viewers were stunned on Monday night’s episode after fan-favorite couple Alyssa Barmonde and Duncan James hit a rough patch. The single mother, 35, has lashed out at her ‘husband’ for not giving him enough ‘attention’ at the couples retreat in the Southern Highlands.
As the couple prepared for the girls and boys night out, Alyssa said she was fed up with Duncan “ignoring” her all day and then refused to give her a hug. The Utah-born blonde then opened up to the other ‘brides’ about her falling out with Duncan, shocking the group by announcing he’s ‘not her type’.
Although fellow contestants and viewers were shocked by this new development, Yahoo Lifestyle may reveal that the couple’s relationship began to crumble long before the couples retreat.
According to an insider, the producers removed all the issues that Alyssa and Duncan had to “keep the dream alive” during MAFS Fans.
Leaked snaps of the couple arriving for the third dinner, released two weeks ago, reveal the pair refused to look at each other upon arrival. The producers urged the golden couple to “act out” before stepping onto the set.

“At this point in the experience, there was so much drama with the other couples that the producers wanted to keep the dream alive for as long as they could,” a source tells Us.
“They originally thought Duncan and Alyssa would be one of their ‘hero couples’ that would stay together off the show, but about two weeks later they began to see that was highly unlikely. ”
Fans turned on Alyssa after her fight with Duncan aired, with many saying she was “sabotaging” her relationship.
“She was totally unreasonable. Talk about being needy. I don’t see where he did anything wrong to be honest,” one fan commented.
“Duncan is too good for her. I don’t know what her problem was with him tonight,” added another.

It comes after fans shared hints that the pair are no longer together. The most telling sign is that the couple both live on Sydney’s northern beaches but have not been photographed or seen together since the show ended.
Duncan is based in Manly and Alyssa is just minutes away, but it looks like they haven’t spent any time as a couple since filming wrapped in December.
Instead, Duncan has spent most of his weekends with friends who document all their antics on social media – including a recent trip to Perth together.

The 36-year-old was also spotted flirting with intruder Evelyn Ellis at his recent Sydney viewing party, where his ‘wife’ Alyssa was conspicuously absent.
However, Evelyn claims nothing happened between her and any of the bride and groom who attended the event, including Harrison Boon.
“Everyone from Sydney was invited,” she says Yahoo Lifestyle. “Melinda [Willis] and Layton [Mills] were to come but she had to go back to Brissy, and Ollie [Skelton] was sick that day.
“I was stuck with the boys, which was fine, we just had a few drinks and watched the episode. There is certainly nothing there.
